
Sixth Form Pathway Programme
Programme Overview
The Sixth Form Pathway Programme (SFPP) is a policy of the Ministry of Education Skills Youth and Information (MoESYI) to financially assist students to continue their studies after Grade 11 over a two-year period. The SFPP programme has three strands – Pathway 1, 2 and 3 which are based on the level of qualifications the students hold and the programmes being offered by the receiving institution. The VTDI is currently offering Pathway 1. Once a student is enrolled in one of VTDI’s Associate or Bachelors Degree programmes he/she is eligible to access funding of $60,000 per year for two (2) years.
Entry Requirements- ✓Be a graduate of grade 11
NB. grade 12 graduates will be able to access only one year of the scholarship (conditions apply). - ✓ 16-18 years of age
- ✓ Minimum of 5 CSEC subjects including Mathematics and English (or City and Guilds Mathematics and English [Stage 3])
- ✓Students having up to 4 CSEC subjects including Mathematics and English or City and Guilds English and Mathematics (stage 3) and NVQ-J (level 2) (conditions apply)
NB. Students having up to 4 CSEC subjects who do not have Mathematics and/or English will be required to pursue same in the VTDI’s Pre-College programme within the first year of study.

- ✓ Target group: all grade 11 school leavers.
