Extension Sites

Mandeville

The Mandeville extension site was established in January 2005 with approximately twenty (20) students and one (1) administrative assistant. Similar to the model currently used in Montego Bay, this site was initially accommodated at facilities utilized by the Management Institute for National Development (MIND) in Mandeville. As the student population grew and the programmes increased, the site was relocated in September 2010.

The present location of the Mandeville extension site is the third and largest site since the inception of VTDI Mandeville. The site currently offers a variety of short/customized courses and four programmes: The Associate Degree in ICT, the TVET Instructor’s Diploma, the Postgraduate Diploma in Education and Training, and the Bachelor of Education in Applied Technology.

Montego Bay

The Montego Bay extension site was established in August 2003 at Caribbean Institute of Technology (CIT) with approximately twenty (25) students, one (1) administrative assistant and 1 lab technician.  The offerings were limited to the Post Graduate Diploma in Education and Training and TVET Instructor programmes.  The extension was relocated to the Montego Bay Community College in August 2011. The programme currently offered from this site is the Post Graduate Diploma in Education and Training.
